The Den

So, motivated by my oversized belly and our general unfitness, the two of us have undertaken a strict fitness and exercise regime.

Like most things that are labelled ‘regime’, this one is EVIL.

We went for a run this evening. When we got back I could barely stand up.

Alison seemed quite unaffected by comparison.

A couple of weekends ago, a few people from work drove up to the Hunter Valley, and spent a few hours riding, covering a distance of around 42 km.

I wrote a python script to convert the output of my GPS to the kml format used by Google Earth. Results here.

There are two tracks in that file. Deselect the second one. The first one is the interesting one.

Our recent two weeks in Vanuatu was very relaxing. So relaxing, in fact, that we hardly took any pictures. The ones I have uploaded so far are here.
We took a boat trip on our friend’s very cool passenger catamaran. We stopped on several of the smaller islands surrounding Efate, from one of which we took this photo:

We also hired a car and drove around the island with Johnny, his wife Lettie (spelling?), and their adopted son John. Below is a photo of Lettie and John.

Near Havannah harbour there is a man who collects Coke bottles left over from WWII. He claims to have the largest collection outside of the US.
